God is good... All the time!
Just came back home from M.A.D (Members Appreciation Day). Very ministered by God during the session. Can't help but to feel so blessed to be touched & loved by God...
Also realised that I sort of neglected my blog alittle since the school start... I should say I am rather slow in adjusting back to a studying life, where consistent work is needed to keep up with the new content we learn every week.
Can't say I am stressed about my studies now, since I belong to the 临时抱佛脚 people, I will only got stressed up after I leave all my work at the very last min... And clearly, the time has not yet came though it's silently creeping in slowly... (So, I need to change my attitude soon...)
Just thought of recording down some small thoughts I had somewhere during the past 2 weeks...
1. 蓝天白云
During 2 afternoon trip down to NUS campus in the cab, I was surprised to see the beautiful clear blue sky & the big white clouds here and there. I was really admiring the great scenery which I haven been able to do so since long long time ago. I didn't manage to take a photo of it as the cab was traveling quite fast. But it was something like this:
Really, for a moment, I was so amazed by this wonderful world which God has created. It certainly cheers my day up, being reminded that I have a great & loving God in my life!
It also triggered some childhood memories of myself, gazing over the car window, staring at the sky whenever I was sitting in the car... I think back then, I am still too young to understand the concept of a Creator, but I truly fascinated by this simple natural sight.
Whether it's a day or night, looking up across the sky can be very relaxing to the mind!
More often than not, when we are facing some down or hard times in the midst of our lives, we tend to feel that they are too much for us to handle, or that God can't help us... But ask yourself this question, "The same God who created the whole universe is the same God that's living in you too! Do you think there will be any more complicated problem where God can't solve?"
An old saying goes:
"Instead of telling God that you have a BIG problem, tell the problem that you have a BIG God!!"
Let's really learn to "live out what we truly believe"!! =)
2. My Niece & Nephew
Yes, looking at their innocent baby face, aren't they adorable!??
It's really amazing to witness their growth in the daily basis, seeing them learning to crawl, growing their tooth, trying to make sense of every new things they see...
I simply love them, just because they are my dear niece and nephew... No matter how 'bad' they behave, how their loud crying irritate me, I still love them... They may not understand it, or even reject my kindness, but that doesn't change the fact that I want the best for them.
Similarly, through the babies, I can understand a slight feeling of God towards us, His children... He is also trying to explain to me this:
"I simply love you, just because you are my precious creation, my beloved child... No matter how 'bad' you behave, how you ignore me, I still love you... You may not understand it now, but that doesn't change the fact that I have a great plan that's best for you."
It's really great to realise that God's love is that simple, yet so deep & wide, that are able to touch each individual one of us in a unique way... God is simply Awesome !!!
3. My CareGroup - NUSC3
Yes, this is my current caregroup (CG). We are a group of diversified people who have different personality, studying in different campus, in various stages of our life. I really thank God for my CG. That's why I really have a burden for it.
I pray that, as our CG get together more in future, we can eventually be united in spirit, and as a vibrant spiritual family, to attempt great things for God!
Something shared by Ellson (my shepherd):
"When you pray for courage, God don't just give you courage. But He will give you opportunity where you can be courageous."
Likewise, when we wanna pray for breakthroughs, God will put us in a situation whereby we need to get out from our comfort zone & be transformed!
I hope I can learn to fulfill my role in the CG, as an elder brother, to love, guide & encourage the people to grow and maintain a close walk with God...
Once again, thank God for NUSC3!!
Carrie, Jesse, Huifang, Jeffrey, Maureen, Kezia, Johanna, Jesline & Sher Li...
Thank God for all of you! =p
